Dental crowns are a great way of replacing teeth where the top, visible part (the crown) has become too damaged to repair, but the root is still in good condition – and now we can provide you with a new crown in just one visit.

Previously, crowns required several stages of treatment before they were complete. The dentist would take impressions of the damaged area, and you would then have to have a temporary crown for a couple of weeks or so. This temporary crown would often look very unrealistic – we’ve even heard of them glowing eerily under ultraviolet light in clubs! You would then have had to visit the practice for a second time to have the temporary crown removed and the permanent crown fixed in place.

The CEREC tooth restoration system uses Computer Aided Design technology, enabling us to design your new tooth restoration ready to fit in just a single visit. Customers can actually watch us design their new restoration on a full-colour screen right before their eyes, and there is no need for uncomfortable impressions and temporary placements.

CEREC restorations are made from tooth-coloured ceramic material, chosen to match perfectly your existing tooth colour. And because the technology is extremely precise, we are able to save more of the healthy parts of your tooth.
